Asana Uses Beehive’s AI to Power Global Climate Risk Reporting
A seamless handoff, global coverage, and AI-generated disclosures—all in one platform.

“Beehive’s AI gave us a smart, structured first draft of our TCFD report, and saved us weeks.”
The Challenge
Asana needed to comply with California’s SB 261 and produce a climate risk report aligned with TCFD. As a company with global operations and a strong ESG reputation, the stakes were high—not only for regulatory compliance, but also for meeting investor expectations and upholding their public values around transparency and sustainability.
While Asana had long-standing expertise in carbon accounting, climate risk was unfamiliar territory. The team didn’t know which risks were most relevant, how to begin the analysis, or what “good” looked like in a TCFD report.
The ESG and investor relations teams initiated the project with the right intent—but midway through, both leaders left the company. Ownership shifted to Asana’s corporate legal team, who had no prior experience with climate risk and were navigating an unfamiliar landscape under pressure from stakeholders and tight timelines.
Briana O’Neill, Corporate Paralegal
“We stepped into a complex reporting process midstream, with limited background in climate risk. But the structure and support built into Beehive made it easy to pick up where others left off.”
The Solution
Asana used the full Beehive platform to identify, assess, and disclose climate-related risks:
Global Physical Risk Module to assess exposure across offices, employees, and data centers in the U.S., Ireland, Poland, UK, Germany, France, and Australia
Transition Risk Module to identify which climate policies and market shifts were most material to disclose
IFRS S2 Reporting Module to guide the structure and content of their climate risk report
Beehive AI to generate a first draft of their climate disclosures based on Asana’s prior 10-K, ESG reports, and public filings
Peer Benchmarking Tool to review how other software companies were reporting on climate risk and align accordingly
The software enabled seamless collaboration and version control, even as responsibilities transitioned across teams.

“Beehive’s AI gave us a smart, structured first draft of our TCFD report, and the ability to edit, review, and finalize everything in one place. It saved us weeks.
The Results
Despite team turnover and limited in-house climate risk expertise, Asana successfully published a clear, credible TCFD-aligned report—delivered on time as part of their 2025 ESG disclosures. What could have been a stalled project instead became a smooth handoff, thanks to Beehive’s centralized platform, AI-generated drafts, and auditable risk-assessments.
With Beehive, Asana didn’t just meet compliance requirements—they produced a report that reflected their values, earned stakeholder confidence, and stood up to investor scrutiny.
Highlights include:
Risk assessments completed across global operations, offices, and employee hubs in the U.S., Europe, and Australia
Full report generated in-app, with AI providing the first draft and legal teams editing directly within the platform
Benchmarking with peer companies to understand how other public software companies approached climate risk reporting
Continuity through staff transitions, enabled by Beehive’s documentation, audit trails, and ongoing support from subject matter experts

“This was our first climate risk disclosure—and we’re proud of the outcome. Beehive’s platform helped us move quickly, stay organized, and publish something meaningful.”
Why Beehive
Asana selected Beehive because it aligned with how a modern team wants to work: fast, collaborative, and AI-powered. Unlike traditional consultants or spreadsheet-based tools, Beehive offered risk insights, peer benchmarking, and instant AI-generated drafts, all in a single platform. The software was intuitive enough for legal teams to use independently, but powerful enough to meet the expectations of ESG and investor relations stakeholders. Even with internal team transitions, Beehive made it possible to move quickly and publish confidently—without sacrificing quality or control.
